According to IRR19 all hospital staff at risk of receiving a significant eye dose
should have eye dose monitoring. Although the regulator has not yet issued a position
paper it has indicated that risk assessments will need to estimate eye dose, where
appropriate, and monitoring and protection may be needed depending on the level of
exposure.
